Almost all Kyrgyz festivals and celebrations are accompanied with games on the horses. It is difficult to imagine the life of the nomad in the mountains without horse. During this tour you also can ride a horse in the places that are hidden from other people and remote from busy cities and towns. You will ride it as if you are in the past times, like you are a medieval traveler. You start to feel the taste of life and you understand - the best architecture in the world is the Mother Nature! The feeling of riding a horse in the mountains is amazing!
Tour summary:
Day 1: Bishkek - Issyk Kul Lake
From the Manas International Airport you will be picked up by your guide and accompanied to Bishkek (the capital city) (30 minutes drive). Your first day in Bishkek will start with a nice breakfast. After breakfast you will be transferred to the heavenly Issyk Kul Lake (distance - 200 km.), the second largest alpine lake in the world (1608m.above sea level) and the biggest lake in Kyrgyzstan. This lake is also very often called "the pearl of Central Asia". While going to Issik - Kul, on the way we will visit the Burana Tower - minaret from the 11th century, and its open air Balbans museum ("Balbal" means "stone warrior"). After traditional lunch, we keep on our way to the lake. Thanks to the salty water, Issyk Kul Lake possesses curative qualities. As soon as we are in Hotel you will have a rest on the northern beach of the lake where you can lie on the warm sand or swim in the lake. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m.
Day 2: Issyk-Kul Lake - Karakol
8 o'clock breakfast. After that you have free time to swim in the lake till 12 p.m. After having rest, you will begin your (200 km) trip to Karakol city by car. On the way, in Cholpon - Ata we will make a short stop to visit ancient inscriptions on the stones that are dated back to 800 B.C., including the local Issik - Kul Museum. The second stop during the trip will be at 12 o'clock, where you can get pleasure from your lunch in a tranquil atmosphere, before you will be able to enjoy to the full beauty of the lake during another break, where you go on a one hour cruise on a steam boat. Continuation of our way to Karakol city along the northern shore of the sparkling pearl of Central Asia. National dinner will be in a restaurant at 8 p.m. in Karakol. There, for additional price you can have a folklore performance there. Night in a Guesthouse.
Day 3: Karakol - Chong Kyzyl Suu Valley
Your breakfast will be served at 8 o'clock in the morning. This whole morning is devoted to a guided City Tour in Karakol. This excursion includes the visit of an old wooden Orthodox Church. This will be followed by the visit of the Dungan mosque. One of its highlights is the fact that it is built in Chinese style without using a single metal nail. Soon after, you will visit the M.V. Prejvalsky museum. Prjevalsky is one of the world's greatest explores, whose biggest achievements were the crossing of the great desert Taklamakan and the discovery of more than 4000 species of animals, including Prejevalsky Horse. We will end this city tour with a traditional lunch. After lunch, at 1 p.m. we leave Karakol and start our (70 km) trip to impressive Chong Kyzyl Suu Valley. En route, you will see differently shapeed red mountains. We will visit also the mineral hot springs sources of Jeli Suu Village ( Dungan settlement), there you will have the possibility to take a bath. Afterwards, (1 hour) horseback riding tour is waiting for you to the Physical and Geographical station of Chong Kyzyl Suu. Dinner and overnight will be in yurts. The yurts are original nomad's dwellings. They represent wooden skeleton that is covered with felt mats. Yurta is collapsible abode that is built without a single nail.
Day 4: Chong Kyzyl Suu - Ashu Tor - Chong Kyzyl Suu (6h)
Breakfast. So, at 9 am we will leave the camp and start our horseback riding tour to the Ashu Tor pass (2800m. a. s. l.). With a bit of luck you might see mountain goats. We will have an ascent on horses to an amazing mountain lake after lunch. The lake finds its origin in a glacier. After enjoying the view of the mountain lake we come back to the station. Your dinner is served at 8 p.m. Overnight stay is in yurts.
Day 5: Chong Kyzyl Suu - Kishi Kyzyl Suu
At 7 a.m. breakfast will be served, and you will ride off (6h) to Kishi Kyzyl Suu valley - it is a gorgeous ravine that you will definitely like. Lunch is on the way. You will be carried away by the astonishing landscapes presented through views the untouched natural environment. At 7 pm is arrival in the village of Kishi Kyzyl, there you will have half an hour to settle in your tents. After that traditional dinner will be served.
Day 6: Kishi Kyzyl Suu village - Jumakuchak
We continue our horseback riding tour from the Kishi Kyzyl Suu valley to Jumakuchak (6h) after breakfast. We will ride over small Jumalai pass. There is a dazzling sight of the surface of Issyk-Kul Lake. We will stop there to have a picnic. You will have a chance to explore its untoched nature on your own. Overnight in Jumakuchak in tents among nomadic yurts of Kyrgyz people. Dinner is served at 7 p.m.
Day 7: Jumakuchak - Kok Terek village
We start our day with breakfast at 8 a.m. Afterwards we will mount your horse to take the ride to Kok Terek Village from Jumakuchak. 6 hours ride. En route, we will visit the red cave that is called "500 rams" and a picturesque mountain cascade. Your lunch will be near the mountain waterfall. This waterfall is situated not far from (40 degrees Celsius) hot springs, which also could be visited if you wish. We continue our way to Kok Terek village after having a rest. Dinner. Overnight will be in a home stay.
Day 8: Kok Terek - Bishkek
You will be served breakfast at 8 o'clock after packing your luggage. After breakfast you will be transferred to Bishkek city by vehicle along the famous Issyk-Kul Lake southern shore (380 km). We will arrive in Bishkek in a Hotel **** at around 8 p.m. In the hotel you will have time for yourself. You will be picked up at 7 p.m. to have a farewell dinner in a restaurant.
Day 9: Bishkek - Europe 9 o'clock breakfast. After breakfast we start our city tour in the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
This sightseeing includes the visiting of the central Ala-Too Square, the Historical Museum of Kyrgyzstan, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Art Gallery, Pobeda Square (Victory Square), National Philharmonic, Oriental Osh Bazaar, and many other interesting places. You will have lunch at 2 p.m. The rest part of the day is at your own disposal. Transfer from the hotel to the airport of Manas.
