Kyrgyzstan biking: Tour 4

During this bike tour you will visit different parts of Kyrgyz Republic that will surprise you with the views, which change kaleidoscopically.

Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
You will be picked up in the International Airport of Manas and accompanied to Bishkek (the capital city of Kyrgyz Republic). The drive from the Airport to Bishkek will take 30 minutes. On arrival you will start the day with a breakfast. You will be accommodated in the hotel***, which is situated in the tranquil area of the city, after that you will have a rest. This day you will have an excursion to Ala-Archa Natural Park. The Park of Ala - Archa is situated on the Kyrgyz ridge (a spur of Tien-Shan), in the Ala-Arch Gorge, 45 km. south Bishkek. In order to have a nice view of this famous gorge you will ascend on the top of the mountain. Transfer back to Bishkek City. At 7 p.m. dinner will be served. You will spend this night in the hotel***.
Day 2: Bishkek - Son Kul Lake
This day you will be transferred over the Kurtka Pass (3243m. alt.) to the 2nd biggest lake in Kyrgyzstan Son Kul. Son Kul Lake is surrounded by mountains and it is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan, situated at an altitude of 3016 meters above sea level. Herders of the Naryn region come to the lake to use it as a pastureland. Kyrgyz nomads started to come to this wonderful area with their families for rest and relaxation. The first part of cycling to the gorge beginning is easy with a slight descent. There is a narrow spot where we will enter a narrow gorge with high sharp rock walls, in some places up to 200 m. A steep ascent to the pass begins here. Descent is easier and shorter. You will be free to explore and enjoy the virgin nature of the lake and its environs after our arrival. Dinner. Overnight stay (3016 m. alt.) is in the collapsible nomadic abodes - yurts. Yurt represents a wooden carcass, covered with thin felt mats.
Day 3: Son Kul Lake
After a long bicycle journey is free time in the Kyrgyz paradise. We will walk among the Tian - Shan Mountains where every nomad invites you to his yurt to taste a piece of bread and kumis (national holy drink made of mare's milk). You will have an excellent opportunity to explore Kyrgyz nature and lifestyle on your own. You can ride along the lake on a horse, or just relaxing in the atmosphere of the wild, but calm nature. It is a great chance to get acquainted with nomadic traditions and culture. This night you will spend in tents.
Day 4: Ride Son Kul Lake - Kyzyl Korgon Canyon (80km)
Breakfast. Today we will cycle in the direction of the sanctified stones with ancient (dating back to 800 B.C.) inscriptions on them. After visiting this site we leave Son Kul and cycle to the valley of Djumgal through the pass of Kara Keche (3381m).Upon arrival we will walk among red canyons. Overnight is in tents.
Day 5: Ride Kyzyl Korgon - Kyrk-Kyz Pass 3223m
This day we will pass near the Kyzyl Oi (red canyon) village. En route we will see the rocks of different colors, panoramas and summer pastures. This place always impresses travelers and all of them want to come back there one more time. Kyzyl Oi is a small poor village in the mountains. You will have time to walk there and to see the life of the Kyrgyz people in the country side. You will see our famous red canyons that are completely different from other mountains in Kyrgyzstan, on the way to the village. Overnight stay is in the tents.
Day 6: Ride Kyrk-Kyz pass - Ter Jailak pass 2446m - Toluk village (50km)
Our today's rout will be difficult enough. En route we will meet the Kyrgyz herdsmen on the summer pastures (jailoo in Kyrgyz). They come to this place even nowadays and you can see their way of life. The Kyrgyz nomads always glad to communicate with foreign guests and they are very hospitable. You could see their felt abodes and ask them about their life. It will be also possible to try national drink - kumis. Kumis is made of mare's milk that is fermented and it has really unusual taste. Overnight stay is in tents.
Day 7: Ride and transfer to Toktogul Village
After breakfast we will ride, and our driver will drive behind us. The road has a plenty of incredible views and you will never forget them. When you are there it is become clear that the best architecture in the world is Mother Nature! Lunch and transfer to the village where we can take a shower or drive to the artificial lake. Spare time. Overnight is in the home stay.
Day 8: Transfer to Bishkek City
We will drive to Bishkek City in the morning. You will be carried away by the astonishing landscapes offered through views of virgin nature. You will have free time in Bishkek to go shopping and to walk. You will have a dinner in a restaurant in the evening. You will spend this night in the hotel***.
Day 9: Bishkek
This morning we will have a city tour. This city tour includes the visiting of the central Ala-Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the History Museum, National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many other interesting places. Afterwards we will visit famous Osh bazaar. You will walk there and bargain for different goods and you will have a feeling as if you are 1000 years ago. At 7 o'clock a farewell dinner will be served. Overnight stay is in the hotel***.
Day 10: Transfer to the airport
Transfer to the International Airport of Manas according to your flight details.
