Explore really wild places in the heavenly mountains of Kyrgyzstan! We want to present you a biking tour, which routes will be along untouched mountain gorges where it is still possible to meet genuine nomads. It is a perfect chance to feel the nature, because you will cycle in places that are so far from the civilization. During your adventure you will see yurts - nomadic felt dwellings, which are very unique and their owners will invite you for a cup of tea or kymis (traditional Kyrgyz drink).

Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
You will be collected from the International Airport of Manas by your guide and accompanied to the capital of Kyrgyz Republic - Bishkek City. Drive from the Airport takes half an hour. You will start the day with a nice breakfast. You will be accommodated in the hotel*** that is located in the calm area of the city. After that you will have a rest. Today you will have an excursion to Ala-Archa Natural Park, which is situated on the Kyrgyz ridge (a spur of Tien-Shan), 45 km. from Bishkek, in the Gorge of Ala-Archa. To observe this famous gorge you will ascend on the top of the mountain. Drive back to Bishkek City. Your dinner will be served at 7 p.m. Overnight stay is in the hotel***.
Day 2: Bishkek - Kochkor - Sarybulak
We start our trip to Kochkor village by car in the morning. Our route passes via Orto Tokoi water collecting reservoir. You will meet a family in the Kochkor Village that shows you the way national felt carpets are produced. During this felt show you even can create your own carpet together with them. After felt show you will visit Kyrgyz handicraft museum in Kochkor. Then ride by the asphalt road to the Village of Sary Bulak (2310 m. alt., 38 km). Transfer (7 km, 2390m. alt.) by bike on dirt road to confluence of Biulioomiu and Kara-Kudjur Rivers. Night is in tent camp.
Day 3: Sarybulak - Kichi-Naryn
Today you will ride along the Balgart River and Kichi-Naryn River. The day is easy. Cycling is on the dirt road. Night is in tents in the forest near Kichi-Naryn River. This place is popular among nomads since ancient time. Shepherds were coming to this area with all their relatives. Some big tribes could have about 1000 yurts! All of them were going from one place to another as a big family with a great amount of cattle. Kyrgyz nomads are very hospitable and like to meet travelers.
Day 4: Ride (63 km) Kichi-Naryn - Naryn town
Easy day. We will ride down to the Kichi-Naryn Village (2351m. alt.) after breakfast. It is situated 4 km. from the confluence of Naryn and Kichi-Naryn Rivers. The road to Naryn will surprise you by its beauty and amazing mountains. The whole way will be along incredible gorges and you will have many photo stops! You will cycle to the town of Naryn (2050 m. alt.) along Naryn River. Naryn is a long narrow town that streched along the gorge near the longest river in Kyrgyz Republic - Naryn. The town is situated very close to the mountains, at the altitude of 2800 meters above the sea level. Lunch is on the way. After having lunch we will continue cycling by the main road. You spend this night as nomads do, in yurts! Yurts are collapsible nomadic dwellings that are made of wood without using a single nail and felt.
Day 5: Transfer or Ride Naryn - Son Kul Lake (3016 m. alt.)
Breakfast. After that you can cycle or be transferred over the Kurtka Pass (3243m. alt.) to the 2nd biggest lake in Kyrgyz Republic Son Kul Lake. Herders of the Naryn region come to the lake to use it as a pastureland. The first part of cycling to the gorge beginning is with a slight descent and easy. We will enter a narrow gorge with high sharp rock walls, in some places up to 200 m through the narrow pass. Here a steep ascent to the pass begins. The descent is shorter and easier. Son Kul Lake is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan. It is situated at the altitude of 3016 m. above sea level and surrounded by the mountains. The Kyrgyz nomads with their families started to come to this wonderful area for relaxation and rest. Upon our arrival, you will be free to walk around and take pleasure in the untouched nature of the lake and its environs. Dinner. Overnight stay is in the yurt camp.
Day 6: Son Kul Lake
This day we will spend in the Kyrgyz paradise, at Son - Kul Lake. You will have an excellent opportunity to explore Kyrgyz nature and lifestyle on your own. You can ride along the lake on a horse, or just relaxing in the atmosphere of the wild, but calm nature. It is a great chance to get acquainted with nomadic traditions and culture. We will walk among the Mountains of Tian - Shan where every nomad invites you to his yurt to try national staple drink made of mare's milk - kymis. You will spend this night in tent camp.
Day 7: Ride Son Kul Lake - Kyzyl Korgon Canyon (80km)
After the breakfast we will ride in direction of the holy stones with ancient stone inscriptions (dating back to 800 B.C.). Afterwards we will leave Son Kul and will ride to the Djumgal valley through Kara Keche pass (3381m). It is a region of high mountains, snow peaks, rocks, red canyons. Local walking is in the Red Canyons. The night is in the tent camp.
Day 8: Ride Kyzyl Korgon - Kyrk-Kyz pass 3223m
This day we will see summer pastures, panoramic views and rocks of different colors. We will pass near the Village of Kyzyl Oi (red canyon). On the way to the village you will see our famous red canyons that are completely different from other mountains in Kyrgyz Republic. This place always impresses travelers and they want to come back there one more time. Kyzyl Oi is a small poor village in the mountains. You will have time to walk there and to see the life of Kyrgyz people in countryside. Overnight stay is in the tent camp.
Day 9: Ride Kyrk-Kyz pass - Ter Jailak pass 2446m - Toluk village (50km)
Today our rout will be difficult enough, but we will meet loads of Kyrgyz shepherds on the summer pastures (jailoo). The Kyrgyz nomads are very hospitable and they are always glad to talk with foreign visitors. You could see their felt dwellings and ask them about their life. It is also possible to try national drink kymis that has really specific taste. Kymis is made of fermented mare's milk. Even these days the Kyrgyz shepherds come to this place and you can see how they live in the harmony with nature. Overnight stay is in tents.
Day 10: Ride and transfer to the Toktogul village
Breakfast. After that we start our cycling. The road has a plenty of incredible landscapes and you will never forget them. It becomes evident when you are there that the best creation in the world nature. Our chauffeur will drive behind us. Lunch and transfer to the Village where we can take a shower. Optionally we can drive to the artificial lake. Free time for leisure. We will spend this night in the home stay.
Day 11: Transfer to Bishkek city
We will drive to Bishkek city in the morning. You will be carried away by the astonishing landscapes offered through views of the untouched nature. You will have free time in the city to go for shopping and to walk. You will have a dinner in a restaurant in the evening. This night you will spend in the hotel***.
Day 12: Transfer to the airport
Your guide will meet you in the hotel at the pick up time arranged before, according to your flight details and accompany you to Manas Airport.
